Heyo, I'm Harry, thanks for checking out my portfolio!
In short, I’d describe myself as a resilient problem solver that gets a kick out of writing robust, efficient code, with a passion for computer games. In slightly longer, I'd have to go back a couple of years to where it all began...
Gaming has been a massive aspect of my life ever since my dad introduced me to a plethora of arcade classics running on the family desktop, Tank Force by Namco being one of my favourites. It wasn't long until I got my hands on my first console, the dependable Nintendo DS Lite; I'm not ashamed to admit that many a school night would be spent training Pokémon instead of getting to bed early. Fast forward a couple of years, many hours of Minecraft and Runescape, and I built a PC of my own; I discovered steam, it's wealth of games and the rest is history. Gaming alongside collecting Warhammer miniatures took up the majority of my hobby time (check out the models I've painted in my gallery).
My history in gaming, combined with an interest in programming resulted in me pursuing a career in the games industry. In 2021 I graduated with a first class degree in Computer Games Development from the University of Northampton. During my time there I picked up a lot of useful skills, ranging from developing games in both Unity and Unreal, networking mobile applications, building responsive websites using PHP and managing databases with SQL. I'm experienced and enjoy working in a team, I look forward to any and all opportunities to prove my skills.
